Physical Education Department

The physical development of  Milken students is specifically, but not soley, the mission of the Physical Education Department. Our faculty strive to help each student recognize and develop his/her capabilities to his/her fullest potential.

We endeavor to help students develop self-esteem, cooperation, and good sportsmanship. The goal is to nuture within each student an appreciation of physical activity and personal fitness as a part of their lifestyle and as a means to good health, reacreation and enjoyment.

The program of Interscholastic Athletics is offered in conjunction with the Physical Education Department. Milken is commited to excellence in our Athletic Program as measured by student involvement and the variety of competitive teams offered. At any given time over 30% of our student population is involved in extra curriclar sports. The Wildcats have won over 40 league championships and compete with all of the private schools similar to us in size. They regularly advance in California Interscholastic League Play-off competition and most recently advanced to the finals for girls soccer, semi finals for boys tennis, and quater finals for boys soccer. Milken athletes have won individual cross country and golf titles and have particiapted on the Los Angeles Maccabi and World Maccabi teams. Many of the athletes have been honored as All-CIF Athletes and have participated on College and University Teams.
