Physical Education Department - Mission In Action

Milken Community High School is a member of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). For the various sports and seasons the teams compete in the Fountain, Heritage, Liberty, and Ocean Leagues.

Students must try-out for sports teams. The CIF is extremely competitive, therefore it is required that students make all try-outs and practices. Coaches base their selection process on skill, fitness, attitude, and commitment. Students are expected to attend practice Monday through Thursday and some Sundays. Each High School Varsity team competes in 18-20 contests per season.

The CIF requires all students who are trying out and/or participating on a sports team to have a current physical examination, health form, and emergency card on file. Please have your physician fill out the medical form and send to Mr. Kalb at Milken Community High School prior to try-out dates.
