The Science Department fosters innovative critical thinkers who use their scientific literacy to solve relevant problems that improve the world. Students and teachers learn in an exciting, collaborative environment that encourages risk taking and exceeds academic community standards while respecting each unique individual.
In the Middle School the program is an integrated program that is heavily grounded in the process of inquiry. In the Upper School the program is dvided along the more classical approach to science with Concepts of Physics and Chemistry as the flagship, Grade 9 program that bridges the gap between a more qualitative approach to a more quantitative approach to topics.
The Health and Human Development program was developed by health educators and is overseen by the Director of Student Services. It is based on the value of Betzelem Elohim (made in God's image) and has two goals:

Throughout the course, the ongoing question will be from a general and Jewish perspective, what does it mean to be a healthy person?
