Standard 1: A Clear & Effective Communicator - The art student communicates by using oral, written, visual, artistic and technological modes of expression. By reading and listening, students interpret from multiple sources ways of individualizing concepts of art.
Standard 2: Creative & Practical Problem Solver - The art student generates a variety of solutions, builds a case for the best response, and critically evaluates the effectiveness of this response. Elements and principles of design are used to solve these visual art problems.
Standard 3: Critical Thinker- The art student compares, contrasts and evaluates current and historical knowledge in the visual arts in order to create new ideas. The more advanced art classes such as Fine Arts Studio, AP Studio Art & Architectural Design, are challenged with high standards for performance and independent thinking as they investigate multiple artistic issues.
Standard 4: Integrative Thinker - The art student applies skills and techniques to integrate and find connections between secular and religious studies. Through various Jewish art related projects on campus, students explore their own Jewish identity.
